Have known about this cheesy balls for long after googling thru the web, at last able to put my hands together to bake a batch of this yummy treat :p
Adapted the recipe from Cuca Brazuca. I halved the recipe to make do about 30 little cheesy balls.
Ingredients
250g Tapioca starch
1 cup milk
1/2 cup corn oil
2 eggs
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp salt
- Boil the milk, oil and salt together
- Pour the hot mixture into a large bowl containing tapioca starch, mix with a wooden spoon
- Let it cool and mix in the cheese and eggs
- Get your hands in there to squelch everything together into a smooth thick dough
- Separate and roll dough into little golf size balls
- Place the dough balls on a tray
- Bake at preheat oven at 190C for 15 minutes
- Reduce the temperature to 150C and cook for another 15 minutes
