Girls Day Out

Went out with Bento Pet, Emily and 3lilangles on Mon.

We (Bento Pet, 3liangels and me) met up at Soul Out at Hartamas at 10.30am, drove to 100 Yen shop at Tmn Desa, Emily came in while we were busy checking out the bento items there.  I was able to control myself here for not buying more bento items, but little girl wanted this when she saw it:

We left to Jln. Kuchai 100 Yen shop half an hour later, this time, I couldn't resist myself anymore, bought these:

Animal barans (forced to buy by little girl), silicon cups (those I had were small, this is bigger), front hair holders (forced by little girl too, caused she saw me using it at home, but mine was black)

These were from Emily (bag of cracker and sauce containers) & 3lilangels (3 little animal picks), thanks!

After all the shopping at 100 yen shops, we headed to Cafe@15 for our lunch, a cosy & friendly cafe with delicious food.  We started off with mushroom or chicken soup (little girl managed to finish the entire bowl of mushroom soup), followed with prawn spaghetti, dessert were sago with gula Melaka syrup & coconut milk, coffee and 6 pieces of crepes!  I managed to eat 1 crepe only (very full oledi), boy, I gotta tell u, it was very very good, soft (with nutella) at the center and crisp at the side, hmmm....  Thanks again, Emily, for the hearty lunch!

By the time we waved good-bye, I gotta pull my full tummy to the car, and kept my mouth close thru out the journey home, as afraid, food would pour out from mouth :)  I didn't have dinner that day, so u can imagine how full am I.

It was a great day out, look forward to have another one soon!  Oh ya, a little reminder here, the Jln. Kuchai 100 yen shop will have new items coming in next week, so remember to check out Emily's for their latest shipment.

Goodies from Bento Party

I'll start with the goodie bag, it contained so many items: bento box, pop-corns, brownie mix (I'd given to mum), recipe books, kikkomen shoyu, cookie cutter, sausage cutter, tooth paste, candies and some beauty products.

Things that I bought: pink bento bag (RM12 from Bento Pet), plastic cup, onigiri maker, bento belt, small containers and another bento bag (all these from 100yen shop, RM4.90 each).

Not forgetting the prize from Bento Pet, wow!  Lots of cute items and candies, can u see a little hand on the left, little girl couldn't wait to ransack it  :).  Sorry, I didn't take photo of it, cos there were too many items scatter around.  Let's steal some photo from Bento Pet's, see here...  ;)

Bento Party at 6 Sept 2008

It was a very busy day for me last Saturday.  It started with sending little girl to her English class, home for some housekeeping and did a bit of make-up (don wanna look like ah soh at the party).  Later picked up little girl from class, sped up to mum's hse then off to Onsen Japanese restaurant for the bento party.  It was raining cats and dogs, luckily I was there just in time before the party started.

I was glad to meet up with all the bloggers in person, like Pat, Emily, Sharon, SueSue, Christine etc. The party started off with bento introducing (by Pat), ice-breaking moment where each of us introduced ourselves, and a little speech about going green thru bentoing (by Emily).  We had a competition on bento making too, we took food from the buffet bar and decorated them into the bento box given to us.  Here was my bento:

Notice the cup cake on the right, I knew I gotta have it (for little girl) the moment I saw it, it was so lovely!  Here is a close-up of the cup cake:

Each of us had a bagful of goodies (thanks to SueSue - Cooking Momster and others too who sponspered the goodies), and lots of things for us to purchase (items from 100yen shop, all RM4.90 only) too!  I'll post up all the goodies I got later.
